Well i spent my week at KRSS. I really feel that kids like me better when i TEACH, rather than just babysit. It's like when i teach, the kids really sit down and listen to my lesson, and they WANT to learn, because of the way i make the lesson interesting and . If i just babysit, i am well liked anyway, but the level is less deep, it's like they know i'm just there for the sake of being there. I would definitely rather teach than babysit. Cos that was what i was doing in KRSS for the whole week. I can say that i didn't enjoy it as much as teaching in Tanglin.
But the good thing about KRSS is that it has plenty more nice young relief teachers like me! Tanglin had like NONE. And they helped me a lot in that they were screening lots of movies for the sake of the kids, who had nothing to do since their exams just finished the week before. they let me bring my class to their classes to watch the movies with them. So nice! thanks Wan Ting, Sarah and Rachel!
Oh well. At least i got my $330 for that week =) Gonna blow it on clothes i think.
Today i went to Sentosa cos the kids from Tanglin 1E1 asked me to go for their class outing/birthday party. It was pretty fun, we walked up and down the beach, played beach soccer, and swam. There are roving photographers who will take ur photo for free, and u can have it developed if u like it. When it finally came for us to cut the birthday cake, it was too big cos some girls didn't want to eat, so there was some left over. Then one of the girls took a bit of cream and smeared it on other people, so this started everyone off smearing cake everywhere. I got a lot of it cos i was too tired to run =P then in the end when there was no more cream left, they caught me and poured the ice bucket over me. It was extremely cold, so that woke me up and i walked to the toilet to wash off, ignoring the laughter from strangers from my appearance. bleah. fun day =)
Playing tennis with Grace tomorrow! 7.30am again, cos she doesn't like the sun. =D nites!
